Fidel (pt. 2)

I was sent this link today. Someone put much more thought into the ecosystem of the corporate IT world. Although some I’ve talked with might think of the Fidel as a feces-flinging primate, I believe he’s more like the result of a barracuda and porcupine mating. And, please, don’t try to imagine that. :)

Bill Moyers Journal

Wow! I just watched the first episode of the Bill Moyers’ PBS show, and it was fantastic. Seeing exactly how inept the American media is, is rather disturbing.

The Inciteful vs The Insightful

Unfortunately it seems the masses in the world prefer the former. After receiving this link from two of my siblings, I watched in horror. This video only serves to inflame those on both sides of the issue. I, too, fell prey to this, and subsequently wrote a flaming email in response back to my own family members.

I don’t really side much with the religious crowd to begin with. I’ll admit that. But if anyone is going to debate any point then do it honestly, openly, and without also preying on others’ tragedies. The fact that this propaganda comes out immediately after the Virginia Tech tragedy is no accident, I’m sure.

I feel that people choose to put all their hopeful eggs in one god-basket, then say, “Well, if everyone believed in god then all will be well.” To that I say poppycock. Feces occurs–both good and bad. I’m tired of people using god as an excuse for either. There are almost always fundamental, obvious reasons why things happen and by choosing to ignore the obvious and go for the god-scuse is just the lazy way out.

P.S. Yes, I know ‘inciteful’ isn’t word. Move on.
